From the charming streets of Belgrave to the picturesque locales of Emerald, Cockatoo, Gembrook & Upper Beaconsfield, you can choose from 50 plus events spread across more than 30 venues. This festival isn’t just about art; it’s about community spirit and supporting local artists of all kinds. It’s an opportunity to experience & enjoy everything from instrumentalist musicians & singers, bands, visual arts, sculptors, dance, circus, photography, comedy, yoga, painting, along with exhibitions to view and workshops to try.

The PAVED festival kicks off on Friday 24 Nov with a Twilight Fiesta being held across the shopping strips of Emerald including late night shopping till 7pm and before the night time entertainment takes off and continues over the whole weekend.

Over 25 Emerald businesses have donated a large range of gifts. Shoppers that spend $20 or more in any of the participating shops over the PAVED festival will have a chance to win one of the amazing hampers being put together. Santa will be delighting the kids along with Deadpool, Spiderman & other roving performers. There will be music on the street, market stalls, the Divinely Mindful Market at the Secret Cauldron, and great food to enjoy at local cafes.

Havo did many gigs on drums in the Flyin Saucers over the years at the Micawber Tavern. Super cool to be returning fronting The Pourshots as part of the 100 year celebrations of the venue. Kicking off after us will be local legends Wild Turkey at Micawber Tavern. PAVED Festival 2023 is going to be bigger than ever this coming November with the festival to come alive at the Micawber Tavern for the whole weekend. With PAVED 2023 now debuting for the first time across the Dandenong Ranges - Micawber Tavern is putting on the best weekend for all PAVERS! Friday through to Sunday there will be music, celebrations and events.

Friday night Blues at the Emerald RSL features The Windsavers. The band, except for the singer, was previously known as Catfish Voodoo and played at the very first PAVE festival.

When Aaron Gillett (harmonica), Benny Gerrard (drums, vocals) and Alex Stewart (guitar) entered the 2020 lockdown, they were mere individuals. After months of pupation in the chrysalis of isolation, they have emerged, united as The Windsavers. These audible chocolatiers drink heavily from the deep well of sonic diversity to deliver an utterly unique and good-time musical experience.

RICHARD STUBBS IS BACK! One of Australia's finest stand-up comedians will have you in stitches of laughter.

PAVED kicks off with a Street Fiesta in Emerald on Friday Nov 24, Funfest on Sat Nov 25 in Emerald, Cockatoo & Gembrook and live music, performances, workshops and markets all weekend.

A unique paint and sip event like no other! Create your own individual artwork drawing on the history and symbolism behind Aboriginal indigenous art. Local Gembrook & Aboriginal artist Nina Wright will share with you the history behind dot painting and Aboriginal symbols to interpret the meaning behind Aboriginal artworks and storytelling. You'll be given your own hand sheet of symbols and guided by Nina to create your own story in art.

Bring your own nibbles and drinks and enjoy an experience like no other with your friends.

PAVED Festival brings you a hilarious line-up up of Melbourne comedians at The Gem. Come see the funniest names the local comedy scene has to offer, in a jammed packed night of entertainment.

Hosted by Simon Taylor, a Melbourne-born comedian, who by the age of 24 became a writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Since then he has appeared on Just for Laughs and became the first ever Australian to perform stand-up on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

Mast Gully Fellers was formed in 2014 in the Dandenong Ranges, an area once known as 'Mast Gully'. The band is renowned for its unique but familiar 'Australiana Bar-Room Folk' sound which meanders through alt-country and blues, to bush ballads, and Celtic punk. As part of the PAVED Festival, this event is gonig to be huge!! See the Mast Gully Fellers from 8pm at Micawber Tavern

In Emerald, at the Gem Theatre and retail strips you'll experience fabulous entertainment, market & community stalls, stilt & street performers, Tubby the robot, donkey rides, jumping castle, vintage machinery, dance, music, exhibitions, workshops, yoga & meditation, Divinely Mindful Market, a visit from Santa and face painting.

Saturday 25 Nov is Funfest day from 10am to 3pm. We encourage families to make a day of it, moving from township to township to enjoy the best variety of Funfest ever!

In Cockatoo, head to the Ash Wednesday Bushfire Education Centre.

Festive Tribe will be providing fun experiences for kids and families that are interactive and get families moving, thinking & playing together. There will also be face painting, a visit from Santa, music and the Bushfire Education Centre will be open to explore.

In Gembrook, Funfest is happening in the John Ackerly Shelter area at Gilwell Adventure Park where you'll find their new Climbing Wall free to experience and heaps of fun. The Park will also be operating the Flying Fox $20 a ride and the Abseiling Tower $15 for the thrill seekers. The Dreaming Space will be creating a spectacular entertainment show & circus play experiences for every age group that allow the imagination to take flight with wonder, curiosity & joy.

The members from the Wingman Automotive Club are passionate about their classic cars - and for one spectacular day they will be showing off their prized beauties from 11am in the Micawber Tavern Park .

The Flaming Moes are something of a Melbourne institution, holding some of the longest running and most successful residencies through the 90’s and 00’s and making noise pretty much anywhere you can have a drink. Head to Micawber Tavern to see these guys on Sunday 26th Nov from 1pm & Celebrate Micawbers 100 Year Celebration and The PAVED Festival.

'The Lost Pints' are budding student filmmakers who have a passion for storytelling. A short film was created at the Micawber Tavern as part of the graduate films for Deakin University’s 2023 Film. The Lost Pints Crew will showcase their talents in Stand Up Comedy and Film.
