The PAVED festival kicks off on Friday 24 Nov with a Twilight Fiesta being held across the shopping strips of Emerald including late night shopping till 7pm and before the night time entertainment takes off and continues over the whole weekend.
Over 25 Emerald businesses have donated a large range of gifts. Shoppers that spend $20 or more in any of the participating shops over the PAVED festival will have a chance to win one of the amazing hampers being put together. Santa will be delighting the kids along with Deadpool, Spiderman & other roving performers. There will be music on the street, market stalls, the Divinely Mindful Market at the Secret Cauldron, and great food to enjoy at local cafes.

Friday night Blues at the Emerald RSL features The Windsavers. The band, except for the singer, was previously known as Catfish Voodoo and played at the very first PAVE festival.
When Aaron Gillett (harmonica), Benny Gerrard (drums, vocals) and Alex Stewart (guitar) entered the 2020 lockdown, they were mere individuals. After months of pupation in the chrysalis of isolation, they have emerged, united as The Windsavers. A unique paint and sip event like no other! Create your own individual artwork drawing on the history and symbolism behind Aboriginal indigenous art. Local Gembrook & Aboriginal artist Nina Wright will share with you the history behind dot painting and Aboriginal symbols to interpret the meaning behind Aboriginal artworks and storytelling. You'll be given your own hand sheet of symbols and guided by Nina to create your own story in art.

Hosted by Simon Taylor, a Melbourne-born comedian, who by the age of 24 became a writer for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Since then he has appeared on Just for Laughs and became the first ever Australian to perform stand-up on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

The band is renowned for its unique but familiar 'Australiana Bar-Room Folk' sound which meanders through alt-country and blues, to bush ballads, and Celtic punk. In Gembrook, Funfest is happening in the John Ackerly Shelter area at Gilwell Adventure Park where you'll find their new Climbing Wall free to experience and heaps of fun. The Park will also be operating the Flying Fox $20 a ride and the Abseiling Tower $15 for the thrill seekers. The Dreaming Space will be creating a spectacular entertainment show & circus play experiences for every age group that allow the imagination to take flight with wonder, curiosity & joy.
The members from the Wingman Automotive Club are passionate about their classic cars - and for one spectacular day they will be showing off their prized beauties from 11am in the Micawber Tavern Park .

'The Lost Pints' are budding student filmmakers who have a passion for storytelling. A short film was created at the Micawber Tavern as part of the graduate films for Deakin University’s 2023 Film. The Lost Pints Crew will showcase their talents in Stand Up Comedy and Film.
