Berry Picking Farm Gate Trail

The Eastern Dandenong Ranges region & climate is renowned for growing raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, cherries & strawberries which come into the season starting late Nov/early December. Farm Gate Berry picking is lots of fun for all age groups; you won't get fruit any fresher and you get to meet the farmers too.

Fielderberry Farm is in Fielder, located halfway between Cockatoo & Gembrook and adjacent to Puffing Billy Fiedler station. Their u-pick berry farm is also on the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Trail and in conjunction with Cog Bikes offers a Bike to Berry experience. Their raspberries are first to come into season in early December followed by blueberries & blackberries. Visitors are also welcome to feed their alpacas & use their picnic shelter facilities. Fielderberry Farm sells coffee & decadent homemade berry ice creams and Belgium waffles from their gypsy caravan farm.

Avonsleigh Berries located between Emerald & Cockatoo in Avonsleigh, the farm runs off Macclesfield Rd and nearby Australian Rainbow Trout Farm. The Edlinger family started the farm in the early 80's and has been successfully supplying their blueberries, raspberries & sour cherries to u-pickers. Bookings are essential for u-picking by calling. They also sell honey from their farm that is heavenly in taste.
