Burnarlook Llamas and Hazelnuts

Burnarlook Llamas and Hazelnuts is a small family farm open for llama visits and u-pick (in season). Open by appointment.

We are a small, family farm located in the beautiful Eastern Dandenong Ranges, just outside Melbourne, Australia. Our llama herd is cared for in an idyllic location, with sweeping views across the Yarra Valley and surrounding forests and mountains. Everyone has a name and is an extension of the family, really. They'd love to meet you.

The hazelnut grove is now producing tasty hazelnuts, with harvest time running from late February through March. We follow a natural approach to the food crop, with minimal use of chemicals and keeping the trees in their natural, multi-stem form. Once you've picked your big bucket and transferred to your own bags to take home, you can dry them and eat them raw, roast them, or blend them into hazelnut flour for cooking. You won't taste better than pick-your-own hazelnuts!

Come and visit us to pick your own bucket of freshly fallen hazelnuts straight from the grove and see some llamas at the same time, or set up a time to just come and hang out with our woolly friends.

Better than anything you can get in the supermarket, llama medicine for the soul - and a great way to spend a few hours in the outdoors with family and friends.
