Meet the Warham Family at Cog Bikes

Some may only know Cog Bikes as retail and servicing, some only as bike hire but their story of how they have grown over the years shows just how their brand is becoming more and more well known.

Purchasing Cog Bikes Australia (which was the bike shop and hire part of the Cog Bike Café) in 2017 was only just the start of Joel’s vision for what he wanted to do. As the Warburton shop grew, it was time to expand, and Joel was wanting to share his passion and expertise with his local community in Monbulk. In August 2019, Cog Bikes in Monbulk was open and they soon discovered just how much a bike shop was needed in the hills community.

The challenges of COVID lockdowns refused to beat the team at the COG and get them down, as they introduced their mascot - Coggie the Parrot to help with deliveries and bring some smiles to people's faces especially kids who were having birthdays in lockdowns.

Cog Bikes also pride itself on the ethos of “Locals supporting Locals” collaborating with other small businesses along the Warburton & Eastern Dandenong Ranges Trail as well as accommodation providers in the area offering free pick up and drop off of hire bikes for customers and guests! In March 2022, they announced their official partnership with Puffing Billy Railway which has enabled them to offer a permanent bike hire hub at Emerald Lakeside Station with easy access to the Eastern Dandenong Ranges Trail enabling even more exploring of the outdoors by bike.

Whether it be purchasing a new bike (even scooter or skateboard), needing accessories, needing your bike serviced or repaired, or wanting to hire a bike – COG BIKES is the place that can help you out. Give them a call on 8736-8152, check out their website at www.cogbikesaustralia.com.au or follow their Cog Bikes Australia facebook and/or insta page to find out more.
